About Semax 10mg
Semax was developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics in Moscow by attaching Pro-Gly-Pro to the ACTH(4-10) fragment, a modification that removes the corticotropic activity of the parent hormone while extending half-life substantially. The resulting molecule retains melanocortin system activity without driving cortisol release, which is the property that makes it useful experimentally. Reported effects on BDNF expression in hippocampal tissue are the most replicated finding. It is frequently studied alongside Selank, and this catalogue also offers the two as a combined vial.
Storage and reconstitution
Store lyophilized peptide at -20°C in a dry, dark environment. Reconstitute in bacteriostatic water. Once reconstituted, store at 2-8°C and use within 30 days. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Lyophilized powder is stable at room temperature for shipping and short-term storage.
